Host Committee Announces Verizon as presenting sponsor for Super Bowl LIVE
The Houston Super Bowl Host Committee named Verizon as the presenting sponsor of the Super Bowl LIVE fan festival during Super Bowl week.
“We are very pleased to partner with Verizon at Super Bowl LIVE,” Host Committee President & CEO Sallie Sargent said. “Super Bowl LIVE presented by Verizon is a celebration of the city of Houston and all that it represents: inclusiveness, ingenuity, and the drive to always be great. These same traits are shared by Verizon.”
Super Bowl LIVE presented by Verizon, which is anchored at Discovery Green and stretches several blocks to Root Memorial Square Park, is open to the public from Jan. 28-Feb. 5. This free festival will include two concert stages, many exhibits and Future Flight, a combination of a drop tower and a virtual reality mission to Mars.
“At Verizon, we are always highly focused on technology and innovation, so it makes sense for us to be the presenting sponsor of Super Bowl LIVE, which will feature those same themes,” said Kristin Rooney, Executive Director of Partnerships and Social Media at Verizon. “Visitors are going to be amazed by what they experience at Super Bowl LIVE, and we’re proud to play an important role.”
The festival is a celebration of football and Houston, the host city for Super Bowl LI. Super Bowl LIVE presented by Verizon will include exhibits focusing on the vision, ingenuity and drive of Houston’s industry and people, as well as performances by headlining entertainment acts from the area including ZZ Top, Solange, The Suffers and Gary Clark Jr.
