Memorial City and CITYCENTRE
Shopping to the Max
Another coveted neighborhood for many Houston residents is the area known as Spring Branch and Memorial. Those neighborhoods and other close surrounding neighborhoods are top dollar for home owners, thanks to the proximity to the newly dubbed “Energy Corridor,” excellent school districts and the gorgeous neighborhoods that boast more character and class than many could dream of.
Shopping and where to hang:
The area has so much to offer, but there are two main sections of Memorial and Spring Branch and those are CITYCENTRE (the newest of the two) and Memorial City Mall.
CITYCENTRE: If shopping is on your agenda, look no further. With shops like Anthropologie, lululemon athletica, Madewell, OLIVE & VINE, Elaine Turner, H&M, Urban Outfitters and tons more, you’ll get your fair share of shopping done quickly, all with a quick walk around the outdoor mall. Click here for a full list of shopping in the area.
While you’re in the area, if you find yourself craving some good football or another sporting event, you need to check out Houston Texans Grille, with over 68 HDTVs for you to tune into, not to mention their extensive food and cocktail list. It’s a perfect way to unwind after a long day. Also be sure to check out Taco Tuesdays and Wine Down Wednesdays for extra specials.
If you’re looking for lodging in the area, look no further than the 255-room Hotel Sorella, which is thoughtfully designed and right in the heart of everything you need (not to mention want) in CITYCENTRE. Part of the Valencia Group, the hotel was just named 2016 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Award, #8 in Texas, #1 in Houston.
Memorial City Mall: More than your traditional mall, Memorial City truly has it all – and then some. With a Cinemark movie theatre, a newly updated Apple Store and all the shopping inside and outside the mall, there’s a lot to see and do at Memorial City Mall.
Located across the street from Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center, there is even a skybridge that easily connects you over and the mall has ample parking. Click here for a full list of shopping. And don’t forget there is bowling just around the corner and tons of restaurants (quick and full service) to choose from. It’d be hard to run out of things to do in this hot section of Houston.
Top Golf Katy: One last thing you’ll need to check out while in the area is Top Golf – one of Houston’s three locations. Whether you’ve never swung a golf club in your life or you’re practically on the PGA tour already, Top Golf is a fun adventure for anyone. It’s kid-friendly and also has a full-service bar and huge menu to make it the highlight of your evening. (It’s technically in Katy, which is just a few miles up I-10, but well worth the drive!)
