Cy-Fair

Unique Shopping in Your Backyard

In the northwest section of Houston sits a rapidly growing section known as Cy-Fair (which stands for Cypress Fairbanks). The area has gotten so big, especially in recent years, that if the area were a city it would be ranked in the top 20 largest cities in the United States.

Nearly three quarters of a million people call Cy-Fair home, so it’s no surprise that you can find pretty much everything you want and need in the area, from food, bars, shopping and so much more. The area of Cy-Fair includes Cypress and the city of Jersey Village. Cy-Fair is situated off of U.S. Highway 290 (Northwest Freeway), only twenty miles northwest of Downtown Houston.

As for shopping in the area, you’ve got plenty of options, starting with Houston Premium Outlets, which has more than 145 designer and premium stores for your shopping pleasure and tons of parking, to make it an easy visit right off the highway.

Vintage Park is also a popular and fun area for shopping and even some great nightlife with top restaurants. Vintage Park is literally a visual transport to a shopping promenade that you’d likely find in Italy, with the Piazza, an almost one-acre pedestrian area, at its center.

The buildings (16 in total) and design, including all the fine details have a very distinct and rich Mediterranean feel with everything from the architecture, hand-laid pavers, stone columns, clay tile roofs, mosaic ornamental pieces, and even hand-painted murals that add to the overall ambience. The Piazza features a series of fountains and gorgeous landscaping. Though it’s known as a “shopping village” with unique shops, Vintage Park also has free LIVE music and other events at the fountains, which you can find listed out on their website. It’s definitely a family-friendly and inviting atmosphere for anyone.

Click here to see all the dining options in Vintage Park. You’ll find chain restaurants, unique dining options, coffee and dessert spots and even more. Visitors even have quite a few options when it comes to nightlife and bars, all in one conveniently located spot.
